  • Blunder (big mistake) = 4 sips : If a player makes a huge mistake that leads to a significant loss of his position (like giving away a piece), he must drink 4 sips .

  • En passant : When someone applies the “En Passant” rule, the opponent must drink 3 sips .

  • Stalemate = 3 sips for both : In a stalemate, both players drink 3 sips each .

4. Bonus for more creative moves:

  • Pawns on the last row = 2 drinks : If a pawn lands on the last row (i.e. "promotes"), the player must drink 2 drinks .

  • Funny moves = 1 drink for the opponent : If you make a particularly surprising or creative move, you can give your opponent 1 drink .

Variant 1: Fast Chess

For a shorter and faster drinking game, play chess against the clock:

  • Each player only has 10 minutes on the clock.

  • Anyone who exceeds their time must drink two sips .

Variant 2: Blitz Chess Drinking Game

Here both players play very fast:

  • Each player has only 5 seconds to make a move.

  • Anyone who thinks longer has to take three sips .

Variant 3: Partner chess

If you are playing with multiple players, form teams and play partner chess :

  • When a team member makes a chess move, their partner must drink.

  • When the team takes a figure, both drink 3 sips .
